When I think about government healthcare, I just think about the VA system that I am forced to use. As a disabled vet, not having an alternative for emergencies scares the snot out of me. Literally!

Since most Liberals don't have to deal with the VA, I like to use the DMV as an example of a great government office that helps us all. It is always interesting to see the fools try to explain that the government has many wonderful administrators that it will use to run the healthcare system when there are so few government programs that actually work.

Keep them far far away!

The Myth of 90 Percent: Only a Small Fraction of Guns in Mexico Come From U.S.
While 90 percent of the guns traced to the U.S. actually originated in the United States, the percent traced to the U.S. is only about 17 percent of the total number of guns reaching Mexico.

You've heard this shocking "fact" before -- on TV and radio, in newspapers, on the Internet and from the highest politicians in the land: 90 percent of the weapons used to commit crimes in Mexico come from the United States.

-- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said it to reporters on a flight to Mexico City.

-- CBS newsman Bob Schieffer referred to it while interviewing President Obama.

-- California Sen. Dianne Feinstein said at a Senate hearing: "It is unacceptable to have 90 percent of the guns that are picked up in Mexico and used to shoot judges, police officers and mayors … come from the United States."

-- William Hoover, assistant director for field operations at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, testified in the House of Representatives that "there is more than enough evidence to indicate that over 90 percent of the firearms that have either been recovered in, or interdicted in transport to Mexico, originated from various sources within the United States."

There's just one problem with the 90 percent "statistic" and it's a big one:

It's just not true.

In fact, it's not even close. By all accounts, it's probably around 17 percent.

More stupid insanity from the escaped monkeys who are running this administration.

Send all these killing machines into the homes of the lawyers who are volunteering to defend them. Allow the lawyers to really get to know their clients, before they die.

Keep the terrorists OUT OF AMERICA! What good can come of allowing these pig lovers a chance at more Americans?

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/03/30/virginia-jail-home-gitmo-detainees/

A Virginia jail could be the next home for Guantanamo Bay inmates.

The maximum security jail in Alexandra, Va. -- home to approximately 460 inmates -- is under contract to take federal inmates who are tried at the courthouse just a few blocks away.

Among them could be former Al Qaeda operatives detained in Guantanamo Bay like Abu Zubaydah, Al Qaeda's operations chief, or Abd Al-Nashiri, the alleged planner of the U.S.S. Cole attack, Alexandria sheriff Dana Lawhorne told FOX News.

"We are a maximum security jail, so the answer is yes," Lawhorne said when asked about the possibility that Gitmo detainees could be transferred to the jail.

Lawhorne said that although most inmates are booked at city jail on local charges, Al Qaeda operative Zacarias Moussaoui was detained there in a separate unit on the third floor for five years.

Lawhorne said he and his team were given specific instructions for Moussaoui's imprisonment, which included no contact with television, radio, or other inmates.

"He had to be isolated. He could not be within earshot -- of television, radios, and other people. It takes a lot of space to accomplish that," Lawhorne said.

The jail, built in 1987, is surrounded by condominiums, government offices, and a luxury hotel just a few hundred feet from the courthouse door.

In a letter sent to Attorney General Eric Holder two weeks ago, Virginia Rep. Frank Wolf, a Republican, inquired about the housing and handling of detainees at Alexandria's jail because he said all signs indicate that Gitmo detainees will be transferred there. Holder's office has not yet responded, according to Wolf.

I have always liked Ms Harmon because she is hot and always plays an intelligent character. She is not a bimbo or brain dead like so many of the popular actresses. I am glad to see that she is willing to keep her backbone!

On the other hand, I am so tired of Liberals who only see President Obama's skin color and then want to drop to their knees in front of him. They are morons who think that just because a guy is 1/4 black he is better than any white person, even if the white person is a genius. Not that I am calling McCain a genius, but comparatively he is closer to it than the Liberal Messiah.

When the great black icon Marty King said he had a dream of a color blind America, he did not tell whites to ignore color and blacks to become obsessed with it. He wanted us to stop paying attention to it. Period! I know more blacks and Liberals who are concerned with it than any other group.

Ms Harmon, I would love to have you meet my wife and I for dinner sometime. Your "women's murder club" movies are some of her favorites, which I watched for ulterior reasons. Don't let the Liberal racists get you down! Keep logic in your life and you will be fine. As I am sure you know. Even if you might want to try and shake some intelligence into the heads of these racist morons.

Angie Harmon: I'm Not Racist Because I Disagree With Obama

Angie Harmon is not afraid to come out and say she doesn't like how President Obama is handling the job -- but she's sick of having to defend herself from being deemed a racist.

"Here's my problem with this, I'm just going to come out and say it. If I have anything to say against Obama it's not because I'm a racist, it's because I don't like what he's doing as President and anybody should be able to feel that way, but what I find now is that if you say anything against him you're called a racist," Harmon told Tarts at Thursday's Los Angeles launch of the new eyelash-growing formula, Latisse. "But it has nothing to do with it, I don't care what color he is. I'm just not crazy about what he's doing and I heard all about this, and he's gonna do that and change and change, so okay ... I'm still dressing for a recession over here buddy and we've got unemployment at an all-time high and that was his number one thing and that's the thing I really don't appreciate. If I'm going to disagree with my President, that doesn't make me a racist. If I was to disagree with W, that doesn't make me racist. It has nothing to do with it, it is ridiculous."

Speaking of dislikes, the starlet has also had enough of the double-standards in the media.

"I do think McCain would have done a better job, only because I think he has more experience. I also think if W or John McCain or Reagan would have gone and done a talk show, the backlash would have been so huge and in his face, and 'What is our president doing? How unclassy!' But Obama does it and no one says anything," Harmon said.

And in spite of the scornful opinions most of her Tinseltown counterparts have shared on Gov. Sarah Palin, Harmon remains a true fan.

"I admire any kind of woman like her. My whole motto is to know what I stand for and know what I don't stand for and have the courage to live my life accordingly and she does exactly that. The fact that this woman has made the decisions she's made and literally lived her life according to that and takes heat for it is absolutely disgusting to me," she added. "People cannot look at this woman. I really think they're afraid of her and her morals, ethics and values and the fact that she hangs on them. Is she the most experienced person in the world? But she was running to be the Vice President, so we then put the most inexperienced person as the President. That didn't make any sense to me."

However Harmon is definitely in the Hollywood minority when it comes to her criticism of Obama as other lasses at the Latisse party were quick to advocate their unequivocal support.

"The sort of criticism over the last couple of weeks is a bit unfounded, he's been in office for barely any time and I think he inherited a lot on his plate and he's doing a pretty remarkable job," quipped Mandy Moore. "I think it's cool that he went on Leno and I watched the "60 minutes" interview as well last week. The guy is just so articulate and he is so well versed in something that is so new to him and I think he has a good team around him. It sounds cliché, but he makes me feel proud to be an American."

Debra Messing also told Tarts that our new President is not only meeting her expectations, but going far beyond.

"He is thoughtful and considerate and he gets all the information before he speaks which I think is a wonderful quality for the ruler of the free world to have," she explained.

The ladies of "Entourage" certainly showed their Obama-loyalty too.

"It's not an over night process. It's going to get worse before it gets better; we're all kind of in the same boat now. Everybody's broke and everybody's struggling and he makes me feel like I know him and that I know Michelle and that they're like us and they're out to try to save the USA. It's just an amazing period to watch him take on these challenges and everyday in the news to hear about AIG or possibly global currency changing, it's incredible. He's facing big challenges and he's got a lot of support and I'm just praying things get better," Debi Mazar said, while co-star Perrey Reeves added that Obama is a "wonderful leader" and she's looking forward to his future endeavors.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/elections/2009/03/25/report-obama-administration-backing-away-global-war-terror/

The Obama administration has ordered an end to use of the phrase "Global War on Terror," a label adopted by the Bush administration shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday.

In a memo sent this week from the Defense Department's office of security to Pentagon staffers, members were told, "this administration prefers to avoid using the term 'Long War' or 'Global War on Terror' [GWOT.] Please use 'Overseas Contingency Operation.'"

A spokesman for the Office of Management and Budget, from whom the direction reportedly came, told the Post there was no guidance given from the agency and that it was merely the "opinion of a career civil servant."

The Obama administration's rhetoric has paralleled this idea, having used the "Global Contingency Operation" phrase for a month prior to the e-mail being sent.

Craig W. Duehring, assistant secretary of the Air Force for manpower, also used the term last week.

"Key battlefield monetary incentives has allowed the Air Force to meet the demands of overseas contingency operations even as requirements continue to grow," he said in congressional testimony.

Critics have pleaded with the Obama administration to abandon the use of "Global War on Terror" because they say it mischaracterizes the nature of the enemy and its abilities.

All I can say is:
"Dear Lord, please don't! Please! This is scary!"

I hope that this is a comedy.

Julianne Moore has been cast as Hillary Clinton in new film "Special Relationship".

The actress will star opposite Dennis Quaid -- who will play Hillary's husband, ex-U.S. President Bill Clinton -- in the movie which will show how Bill's 'inappropriate relationship' with White House intern Monica Lewinsky nearly ended his time in power.

A source said: "This is a big role for both of them. Playing Hillary, a wife who stands by her unfaithful husband, will be something she can get her teeth stuck into."

Dennis reportedly beat four other leading actors - Russell Crowe, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Alec Baldwin and Tim Robbins - to win the role of Bill.

"Special Relationship" is the closing film of a political trilogy written by Peter Morgan, following "The Deal" -- about Tony Blair's rise to power in the British Labour party - and "The Queen" which focused on the reaction of the British Royal Family to the death of Princess Diana.

"Special Relationship" will be Peter's directorial debut.

The film will also feature Michael Sheen as former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who will be seen growing frustrated with Bill as his attentions move from politics to his own personal crisis.

"Special Relationship" starts filming in the UK and US in July.

Obama promised to have the most ethical and transparent administration ever, yet the Press has to submit questions for approval before they are allowed to be asked and certain lines of questioning are forbidden because the Messiah can't answer them right now. Or ever.

Now that same "honest" administration is trying to hide the fact that their Messiah hung around with indicted thugs and wants to use those same thugs to change this Country into a different one. One that the majority of Americans reject. If we wanted his vision we would go to Cuba. Maybe we can send the ACORN thugs to Cuba and see what it is they want here. Castro can give them some good lessons in thuggery.

In the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the top Republican Party official in that state accused President Obama of "trying to inject politics" into the 2010 count.

Party chief Bob Gleason charged Obama with "enlisting" the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now to be a "national partner" in the work.

WND already has reported on allegations of misbehavior on the part of ACORN and a U.S. House subcommittee recently heard GOP lawyer Heather Heidelbaugh and a fired ACORN employee who alleged the organization falsified voter records and violated federal tax and campaign finance laws.

Gleason warned Obama "is trying to interject politics into the 2010 U.S. census, hoping to increase the reach of his party throughout the country."

He said ACORN's results simply won't be trustworthy.

The culture of Democrat corruption continues! I am shocked that a Liberal caught on video slashing his girlfriends face open with a broken bottle would deny the charges. Shocked I tell you. Honest.

What would the Media and the Dems be saying if this had been a Republican?

http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2009/03/ny_state_senator_hiram_monserr.html

NEW YORK -- A freshman state senator sworn in to office despite allegations he slashed his girlfriend's face with broken glass in a jealous rage has been indicted on domestic assault charges, prosecutors said Monday.

A grand jury in Queens indicted Hiram Monserrate on three counts of second-degree felony assault and three counts of third-degree misdemeanor assault. Arraignment is expected later this week. He faces seven years in prison if convicted on the most serious charges.

Monserrate, a Democrat who was in Albany on Monday for a legislative session, issued a statement saying he did not commit a crime.

"I've said all along this was accident. The district attorney's politically motivated decision to pursue this case doesn't change the fact that this was an accident," he said.

The 41-year-old former police officer was arrested after Karla Giraldo's face was slashed on Dec. 19 at his New York City home. The gash over her eye required 25 stitches. Both said the incident was an accident.

Monserrate told police he tripped while holding a glass of water and that the glass accidentally hit Giraldo.

But authorities say evidence, including surveillance videos, painted a picture of a heated argument and a frightened, bleeding woman in distress.

According to the police report, Giraldo, 29, initially said she was assaulted, then changed her account after learning officers planned to arrest Monserrate. She later told police she did not wish to press charges.

After a closed-door meeting with fellow Democrats in Albany Monday, Senate Majority Leader Malcolm Smith said Monserrate asked to temporarily step down as chairman of the Consumer Affairs Committee. Smith had already withheld Monserrate's $12,500 stipend until the criminal case concluded. Monserrate will retain all his other duties and collect his $79,500 base pay.

I really have harped on this many times, but McCain screwed things up with his campaign reforms. His "fix" has violated the Constitution in so many ways that it is hard to fathom an American could write something like that. Well, maybe a Liberal who hates America could.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/mar/24/hillary-the-movie-case-pits-free-speech-vs-electio/

If a political movie falls into theaters a few months before Election Day but no one is allowed to hear about it, does it violate the First Amendment clause on freedom of speech?

That's the constitutional riddle Supreme Court justices will consider Tuesday: Do American citizens have the right to hear political messages of their choosing at the movies, on DVDs and on pay-per-view television, or are those messages subject to restraints under the 2002 campaign finance laws?

The case before the court concerns "Hillary: The Movie," a documentary critical of Hillary Rodham Clinton that was produced by the conservative group Citizens United. It was released in theaters in January during the presidential primary season that concluded in June.

But the Federal Election Commission told the producers of the movie that any advertisements for the film would have to carry the same disclaimer as political advocacy ads. The filmmakers chose not to advertise at all and sued the FEC.

I am very glad that I am not in political level public safety any more! Being a semi-retired consultant is much safer. If I make a slip that the PC police dislike, I just get a warning and fewer calls. It is hard for them to do anything else! Can't take my pension! I do pity the law enforcement people in the modern world.

Where can we send the lawyers and hippies to get them out of our hair?

http://www.examiner.com/x-2684-Law-Enforcement-Examiner~y2009m3d14-Obama-ignores-madness-of-fighting-politically-correct-terrorism-war

President Barack Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder announced on Friday that the term enemy combatant will no longer be used by the federal government to describe enemy combatants captured on the battlefield during counterterrorism and counterinsurgency military operations. To many law enforcement officers and military personnel, this action is the epitome of politically correct newspeak.
As time passes and the events of September 11th become more distant, the voices of America's political-correctness orthodoxy have increased their volume and intensity. They now feel safe in questioning Homeland Security tactics to combat terrorism and are attempting to turn public opinion against law-enforcement leaders.
A major weapon in their arsenal is the accusation of racial profiling by US police and security forces. Another weapon in the war against the war on terrorism is the distortions made regarding the Patriot Act. When one considers the risks to lives and property posed by terrorists, political correctness has now become a weapon of mass destruction.

Most clear thinking Americans were shocked when 9-11 Commission member and former US Secretary of the Navy John Lehman revealed a disturbing fact: the Federal Aviation Administration will be hitting American airlines with stiff penalties for even the appearance of any racial profiling of Middle-Easterners. One airline paid out a huge sum of money to Arab males who filed law suits alleging racial profiling, as well. Yet none of this appeared in the commission's final report.

This leaves many law-enforcement officers incredulously asking: what kind of terrorism war is this? It seems national security and public safety are taking a back-seat to political correctness which in turn thwarts our efforts to detect terrorists and their accomplices.
